A Visit to Eoropie

On Friday CJ and I went up to Ness and spent some time doing a few things CJ hadn't done before and I hadn't done for a long time: visiting Eoropie Beach, St Moluag's Church (which will merit a separate post) and the Eoropie Tearoom.  Actually CJ and Jo tried to eat there twice before but it was full each time although there's more room inside than you might think from the exterior.

  2. This certainly looks like a great place on a great day!
How did you spot the rabbit? (or is it a hare?) Was it moving before you took the picture?

    1. The rabbit was a good way off but I saw what I thought was a int bird in the grass. It was, in fact, the rabbit's ear when it poked it up. I couldn't see the rabbit (yes, it is a rabbit) with the naked eye and was astonished when I looked at the photo.

    2. Not sure I remember ever seeing a hare in Lewis.

  3. Wow, it looks like you had splendid weather for this day out. The colours in the first photo are almost unbelievable; and you managed to catch that wave in the second one just at the right moment. I can well imagine that tearoom to be popular.

    1. The weather was almost perfect. A warmer wind and it would have been idyllic.

  4. If you had not said those photos were at Eoropie Beach, I would have sworn they were taken right here in Barbados, they look exactly the same as some of our beaches on the eastern coast line.
Book me a seat at that tearoom please.....

    1. Virginia our beaches are absolutely wonderful. All we need is your weather to make them idyllic (and so busy that they would not longer be idyllic!).
